THE MAGIC OF IMPROV WORKSHOP
Oct 21, 2007
DANCING TO THE STANDARD TUNES
Beginner & experienced dancers alike find it challenging to dance to the same old, same old dance music whether it’s because they haven’t ever the music before or they’ve heard it once too many times.
IMPROVISATION
How to dance to unknown music, or how to keep it fresh is the focus of this workshop. We will be applying a structured improvisational approach to a selection of the standard songs that are used in restaurants today; while taking a look at specific parts of a routine such as the entrance, rumba, taxim, beledi, drum solo and exit and then breaking each part down to see what works and what doesn’t (we may not get to all the parts in this workshop).
TECHNIQUE
Within that frame work, special attention will be placed on technique, breath work, body alignment and listening to music. This workshop is a must to better prepare the beginner dancer or to enhance what experience you already have.

Sept 1, 2007 Something magical to remember.......

This is Jennifer's story as she relates it to me a couple of days after the Decotach fashion show.  I was so impressed, I told her I would name that convertible sash belt design after her, hence Magic Jennie's.  Here is her story.

Hi Angela,

How are you? I'm fine. I wanted to show you some pic's of an International Festival that I performed in recently. I wore the Magic Jennie's and felt empowered and confident. What a reaction was had by all. I can only imagine what will happen to me when I purchase and entire costume. Be enchanted one and all J,

Read on:

As I was departing Taj Nightclub the night of Angela's Decotach fashion show I wasn’t aware the arm bands purchased were still attached to me.

I noticed a few girls looking at me so I smiled and pointed towards them with my arm bands on. Their faces lit up and immediately smiled back at me. This had to be a chain reaction because all the people in front of the club were in good spirits as I waved my arms in a snake-like manor. My attitude was very buoyant now that I knew my Magic Jennie’s were casting some mysterious spell on all I encountered. Upon passing a British Pub a very stern solider was posted outside (a bouncer perhaps) daring to let go of his grin. I waved my Magic J's and he instantly melted, inviting me in for a drink on the house. About 7 feet away there were two “Thug" like twenty year olds sitting in front of a driveway on a work break.. They looked at me with rough faces and I flicked my Magic J's and they suddenly warmed up pleading with me to stay.

Yelling come back and blowing kisses as they declared “I love you mommy” seriously J A few thirty something professionals were enchanted as well and were dancing up the block and craved more. I was receiving reactions until I reached my car. A cabbie was driving up the block with a car fully occupied and was memorized by the wave of the Magic Jennies; he turned his head to get a better glance and nearly destroyed his taxicab.
It was a true testament that these magical scarves were made with much love, care, appeal to everyone and are truly enchanting. It was an incredible experience to receive such cheerful attention :-) Thank you Angela. This is a true story.

11/7/2006:

The new Decotach website is done and is now open for business. The purpose of our redesign is to improve the ease of use for our customers. The specific issues we tried to address were :

  1. Link Legibility; The links on the previous website were difficult to read at times making it a bit difficult to navigate.

  2. Navigation; We wanted to make our costumes and all Decotach items easy to find and in the process make the entire process of shopping using the Decotach website easier for our very much appreciated and loyal customers.

  3. Improved Messaging; The Decotach message of "More Costumes for Less Money" is a mantra we live by and believe it to be a powerful message.

  4. Improved Search Engine Ranking; This will take a bit of time as Google does not always work as quickly as we all like, but we believe that we have laid the foundation for improving our Website by making our message clearer and navigation cleaner.

  5. Other Items: Soon you will be able to shop Decotach from Google using their Froogle feature which is the Google online shopping catalogue.

  6. Decotach Affiliation; We also will be adding the ability for people to add Decotach items to their website by becoming a Decotach affiliate. This means that you can put up links and images we will provide on your website and you will make money when an order is processed that originates from your website. If you are interested in participating in this program please contact us.

Generally we tried to retain the best of the previous website but we are very interested in any feedback you can provide as we are here to serve you.  If you want to submit a suggestion just fill out our contact form.
